Staff at Holliswood Center on Woodhull Avenue in Jamaica want nothing more than the residents to be happy so on Monday September 7, the Recreation Department plus staff from other departments came together and put together an exciting Labor Day parade for the residents. The staff, dressed in all kinds of styles, from Jamaican outfits to other Caribbean wardrobes, brightened the parade as they went through the entire facility and on each floor. Additionally, Pablo Davila, the Recreation Director at Holliswood Center, created a very colorful float with his team and included a sign that read, “It’s Carnival”!

“Earlier this year wasn’t easy here with COVID-19 that was once in this facility, so now with zero cases, the staff and residents have been feeling great,” said Davila. “What better time for a socially distant Labor Day parade for our residents.”
