Jamaica Hit-And-Run Driver Still Hasn't Been Found, Cops Say
Police are still looking for a driver who fatally struck a pedestrian in Jamaica two weeks ago, then ditched the car and ran away.
JAMAICA, QUEENS — A driver who fatally struck a pedestrian in Jamaica two weeks ago — then ditched the car and ran away — is still at large, police said Tuesday.
Queens Village resident Bibi Zulaikah, 60, was crossing Archer Avenue near Sutphin Boulevard the night of Nov. 5 when a driver in a stolen 2009 Hyundai Sonata ran her over, then jumped out of the car and fled the scene of the crash, according to police and news reports.
First responders rushed the woman to Jamaica Hospital, but she couldn't be saved.

The NYPD on Tuesday released surveillance footage of a man they want to question, taken from a nearby hotel's security cameras.
Police took a 38-year-old man into custody shortly after the crash but released him after confirming they had the wrong man, according to PIX11 News.
