Jamaica Hit-And-Run Victim Left Fighting For His Life
A 50-year-old father of one is fighting for his life after a hit-and-run driver in Jamaica slammed into him as he crossed the street.

JAMAICA, QUEENS — A 50-year-old man is fighting for his life two weeks after a hit-and-run driver in Jamaica slammed into him as he crossed the street.
Joseph Huse was crossing Liberty Avenue at 160th Street the evening of Aug. 14 when a driver heading east on Liberty hit him and raced off, according to police.
Huse has been in a coma ever since, according to a relative who started a GoFundMe to pay for his medical bills.

The crash left the father of one with severe brain damage and a fractured pelvis, femur, tibia, ankle and skull, according to the GoFundMe page.
"The doctor says that the chances of him being like we remember him are very, very low and he will need 24-hour care," the fundraiser description reads.
