Jamaica Man Charged With Trying To Deal Drugs To 14-Year-Old Girl
A Jamaica man was charged with trying to sell booze and drugs to a 14-year-old girl on Long Island, according to Nassau County police.
GREAT NECK PLAZA, NY — A Jamaica man was arrested on charges that he tried to sell alcohol and drugs to a 14-year-old girl on Long Island, according to Nassau County police.
Tarandeep Oberoi, 31, first texted the teen last month offering to sell her booze and marijuana, according to Newsday.
A detective posing as a child arranged to meet up with Oberoi Monday night to buy MDMA, or molly, police said.

But when Oberoi arrived on Chelsea Place, a dead-end street in Great Neck Plaza, he instead found a team of Nassau County Narcotics Vice Squad detectives, who took him into custody.
He now faces charges of attempted endangerment of the welfare of a child and attempted unlawful dealing with a child, police said.

Police ask anyone who may have been a victim to call 911 or Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous and are eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000, according to Newsday.
