JAMAICA, QUEENS — A large fire broke out in the basement of a Jamaica home Friday morning, according to the FDNY.

The blaze erupted in the two-story house on 159th Street between 11th Avenue and Linden Boulevard after 4:30 a.m., the FDNY said.

It took firefighters about an hour to get the flames under control, said the FDNY.
