JAMAICA, QUEENS — Jamaica's Liberty Pool will have a new look when it opens for the summer season on Thursday.

The pool in Detective Keith L. Williams Park is part of the second iteration of the parks department's "Cool Pools" program, which revamps public pools with bright new color schemes, polar-themed art, new West Elm lounge furniture, greenery and games.

Liberty Pool, located by 173rd Street and 106th Avenue, is one of six pools citywide to get an update ahead of the start of this summer's pool season.

The city's outdoor pools will be open from June 27 to September 8. Daily hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week.
