LIRR Train Derails Near Jamaica Station
BREAKING: Two cars on the train derailed Friday night. No injuries have been reported.

QUEENS, NY – Two cars on a Long Island Rail Road train derailed just east of Jamaica Station in Queens Friday night.
The two rear cars on the 10-car train that was headed to Babylon derailed shortly before 9:30 p.m., authorities said. No injuries have been reported.
A rescue train is on the scene and will transport about 600 commuters to their final destinations, the railroad said. The cause of the derailment, which is causing delays on several LIRR branches, is under investigation.

Just spoke to several passengers who were on the Derailed LIRR train. They say eastbound trains will be suspended for A few more hours. Their only options to get home: call an Uber or wait for service to resume. Some angry. Others... cracking a beer at Jamaica station. @NY1
