HOLLIS, QUEENS — Get ready to play ball, because LL Cool J's summer basketball camp returns to Southeast Queens this weekend.
LL Cool J's annual Jump & Ball basketball camp kicks off Aug. 3 in Daniel O'Connell Park.
The Grammy-winning rapper and Hollis native launched the free camp in 2005 to teach kids in Southeast Queens about team-building and leadership on and off the basketball court.

Campers aged eight to 18 will spend three August weekends shooting hoops, then compete in a basketball tournament to close the season.
In past years, LL Cool J has returned to his old neighborhood to attend the campers' final competition.
