Man Already Behind Bars Linked To 2017 Queens Murder: NYPD

The man linked to another man's brutal slaying a year ago was found in prison on an unrelated charge, cops said Wednesday.

SPRINGFIELD GARDENS, QUEENS -- The brutal slaying of a Queens man that happened nearly a year ago has been linked back to an inmate now serving time for unrelated charges, police said Wednesday.

Richard Bodley, 30, was already locked up on Rikers Island when police connected him to the fatal 2017 stabbing of Angel Guerrido, authorities said.

Bodley allegedly stabbed Guerrido repeatedly in the chest on May 1, 2017.

The 45-year-old Far Rockaway man was found dead behind a Springfield Gardens warehouse building on Brewer Boulevard that evening, cops said.

Bodley, of East Flatbush, Brooklyn, was arrested and charged with murder on Tuesday. He is slated to appear back in court on May 18.
