Man Gets Face Slashed While Walking Home In Jamaica: NYPD

Police are searching for the perp who crept up behind a man and attacked him with a knife.

JAMAICA, QUEENS -- A man was rushed to the hospital after he was slashed across the face while walking home in Jamaica, police said Thursday.

Cops are searching for the perp who allegedly crept up behind the 31-year-old man on 89th Avenue near 144th Street and sliced his face with a knife in the early hours of Sept. 8.

The man was treated for his gash at Jamaica Hospital and has since been released, authorities said.

An NYPD spokesman said there was no known motive for the attack.

Police described the attacker as a man with a medium build, a beard and short dark hair. The NYPD released surveillance photos of the suspect about a block from the attack outside El Mezcal Bar and Grill, where he was seen wearing a burgundy and white T-shirt, black pants and black-and-white Adidas sneakers.
