Man Shot Dead In Jamaica, Suspect Taken Into Custody: NYPD
The victim was shot in the head, according to the NYPD.
JAMAICA, NY — A Brooklyn man was shot and killed in Jamaica on Tuesday, the NYPD says.
The victim, Tyrell Simms, was found by officers unconscious with a gunshot wound to his head in the area of 160 Street and Tuskegee Airmen Way. Police responded to the shooting at around 1:15 p.m., according to the NYPD.
The NYPD says a 46-year-old suspect was taken into custody.

Simms, a 24-year-old Cypress Hills resident, was taken to Jamaica Hospital by medics, but was unable to be saved, the NYPD says.
