Masked Gunmen Rob 2 Queens Drug Stores In A Week, Police Say

The armed duo is wanted for stealing prescription drugs from pharmacies in South Ozone Park and Queens Village, cops say.

QUEENS, NY -- Cops are searching for a pair of masked gunmen who held up two Queens pharmacies for prescription drugs in less than a week.

The thieves first targeted a South Ozone Park Walgreens at the corner of Rockaway and Lefferts boulevards on March 7. The two walked into the drug store bearing guns at around 5 a.m. and forced employees to the back, police said.

They stole a number of prescription drugs from its pharmacy area before fleeing the Walgreens in an unknown direction, cops said.

Just four days later, the same duo allegedly struck again at around the same time, targeting a CVS pharmacy about 11 miles away in Queens Village. Upon walking into the drugstore on 219th Street, the two pulled out guns and forced the CVS employees to the back before stealing more pharmaceuticals, police said.

The NYPD released surveillance footage of the two men from the first stickup, both of whom covered their faces almost completely with scarves. One wore a black winter coat with a fur-lined hood, while the other wore a bright red hooded winter coat and a black backpack.
