New Affordable Apartments In Jamaica Require $50K Income
Applications are open for six new affordable apartments in Jamaica that come with stainless steel appliances and an outdoor courtyard.

JAMAICA, QUEENS — Applications are open for six new affordable apartments in Jamaica, but the units are only open to households making at least $50,000 a year.
The city is now accepting affordable housing applications for a studio, one-bedroom or two-bedroom apartment at 177-18 Wexford Terrace in Queens.
Households making an annual income of at least $50,743 are eligible to apply; five-family households may earn as much as $149,890 a year and still be eligible.

Monthly rents are $1,480 for the lone studio apartment, $1,700 for a one-bedroom apartment and $2,070 for a two-bedroom unit, records show. Another one-bedroom apartment with a terrace costs $1,880 a month.
The last month's rent is free, according to the property description.

Families who manage to get one of the affordable units will enjoy such amenities as stainless steel appliances, an outdoor courtyard and a virtual doorman.
