Man Dies After Getting Pinned Between Parked Cars In SE Queens
A pedestrian died over the weekend after becoming trapped between two parked cars in southeast Queens, police said Wednesday.
SOUTH JAMAICA, QUEENS — A pedestrian died over the weekend after becoming trapped between two parked cars in southeast Queens, police said Wednesday.
Michael Kosanovich, a 21-year-old from South Amboy, New Jersey, was standing in between two parked cars along 148th Street near Foch Boulevard the evening of Dec. 6 when a driver accidentally started one of the cars with a remote, the NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad determined.
The car, a 2002 Lexus, rolled forward and pinned Kosanovich to the car parked in front, police said.

Bystanders tried to push the car back to get Kosanovich out, but the car rolled forward again and pinned him between the cars a second time, according to police.
The pedestrian was rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he died the next day.

Police haven't made any arrests in connection with his death.
