Queens Man Who Had Sex With Dog Pleads Guilty To 17K Charges: DA

JAMAICA, QUEENS — A Jamaica man pleaded guilty to 17,725 child pornography and sexual misconduct charges, including a charge that he recorded himself having sex with a dog, prosecutors announced Thursday.

Prosecutors had accused Vishal Lalbeharry, 31, of downloading thousands of photos and videos of children as young as six months old being sexually abused, according to the Queens district attorney's office.

Lalbeharry was arrested in 2018 after a detective tracked more than a thousand child pornography downloads to his IP address, prosecutors said.

A forensic analysis of four laptops, four cell phones and five hard drives seized from Lalbeharry's 95th Avenue home found thousands of child porn images and 16 video recordings of him having sex with a dog, according to prosecutors.

At his sentencing, Lalbeharry will face two years in prison, three years of post-release supervision and a lifetime on the sex offender registry, prosecutors said.
