Watch: Man Steals $3K In Power Tools From Unlocked Queens Home

Video footage inside the Richmond Hill home shows the man walking right in and leaving with an armful of tools.

RICHMOND HILL, QUEENS -- A thief made off with thousands of dollars in power tools from one Queens home simply by walking in through the front door and taking them in broad daylight, police said.

Surveillance footage inside the Richmond Hill home shows a man brazenly walked right through the unlocked door and into the basement at around 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 13.

The thief is then seen leaving the house near 102 Avenue and 135th Street with a handful of power tools, estimated to be worth $3,000, police told Patch.

Cops are still searching for the burglar, who is shown wearing a grey hoodie and black backpack during the home invasion.
