$10K Reward For Information On Kew Gardens Hills Sex Attack: NYPD
Police released photos on Wednesday of a man wanted for questioning in the violent sexual assault of a 52-year-old woman.

KEW GARDENS HILLS, QUEENS -- Police are offering a $10,000 reward for information on the perp who brutally attacked a 52-year-old woman in Kew Gardens Hills on Monday.
NYPD Deputy Chief Michael Baldassano announced the award on Wednesday after police released surveillance photos of a man wanted for questioning in the beating and possible sexual assault that left the woman in critical condition.
The woman was attacked at around 8 a.m. after dropping a child off for school in Kew Gardens Hills, police said. Cops found her unconscious around a half hour later at the bottom of an outdoor stairwell at 150-44 72nd Road, Baldassano said.

She suffered beatings to her face and body from the attack, and was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, police said. Cops believe the woman did not know her attacker.
"We find this to be an extremely violent and random attack that we wouldn't normally see at this time of day," said Elisa Anders, captain of the NYPD's special victims division.

As of Wednesday, the woman was conscious but still not alert enough to speak to police about her attacker, Baldassano said.
Surveillance footage released by the NYPD shows the person of interest standing around 5 minutes away from the location of the attack around 10-15 minutes before it occurred, he said. It is unclear where the man started following her from.
"We have multiple sources where he was in the vicinity," Baldassano said.
