Attacker Knocks Man Out At Kew Gardens Subway Station: NYPD

The man awoke from the attack unable to remember what happened, but a witness managed to snap a pic of his assailant, police say.

KEW GARDENS, QUEENS -- A 35-year-old man woke up concussed inside a Kew Gardens subway station after an attacker knocked him out with a punch to the head, police say.

Cops are now searching for the unknown perp, who walk up behind the man and clocked the back of his head with a closed fist at the Union Turnpike subway station on April 21.

The blow was enough to knock the man out and send him falling to the ground, police said.

The man awoke with no memory of what happened but complained of back pain, cops said. He was treated at Queens General hospital for his injuries.

A witness who watched the assault unfold managed to snap a photo of the attacker, who cops described as a roughly 30-year-old man in a yellow sweatshirt, black jeans and a black backpack.
