Bat-Wielding Robbers Beat Man Unconscious In His Own Home: NYPD

The pair of robbers waited in their victim's home until he came home, police said.

A pair of baseball bat-wielding robbers beat a man unconscious in his own home before taking off with $3,000 in cash, police said. The two had got into the man's house and waited for him to return before attacking him.

Police said the robbery happened inside the home on Liberty Ave. at 103 Avenue, in Ozone Park, at 6:30 p.m. on November 20.

Just 20 minutes later, at least one of the people entered a Zone Glass store on Atlantic Ave. in Richmond Hill using a key, but fled without stealing anything, police said.

The pair was again seen at 11 p.m. trying to use the victim's stolen credit card at a Walmart in Valley Stream, Long Island.

Police identified one of the suspects as Amanda Rodriguez, 26. Her accomplice was described as a man with a medium build and a beard.
