Developer Plans 7-Story Kew Gardens Apartment Building

Permits have been filed to tear down a century-old house on Grosvenor Lane to make room for the 19-unit complex, city records show.

KEW GARDENS, QUEENS -- A Queens developer plans to tear down a century-old Kew Gardens home to make room for a seven-story apartment complex, according to city records.

Steven Li, owner of Grosvenor Realty Group LLC, filed permits with the city Department of Buildings to erect the 19-unit building at 116-17 Grosvenor Lane shortly before he was approved Thursday to demolish a two-story house that's been at the address since 1899, city records show.

Li’s company bought the property in September 2017 for $1,350,000 and filed plans to bulldoze the deteriorating house that December.
