Anthony Scotto, Former Kings Park High School Teacher, Dies At 93

The World War II veteran passed away on Tuesday.

Died: May 22, 2018

Visitation: Sunday, May 27 from 2 p.m.t o 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Clayton Funeral Home on 25 Meadow Road in Kings Park.

Service: Monday, May 28 starting at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph’s RC Church in Kings Park.

Obituary: Anthony Scotto, a long-time Kings Park High School teacher, passed away on Tuesday, May 22 in South Carolina surrounded by family. He was 93.

Scotto was a World War II veteran. He received a Purple Heart and a bronze medal during that time.

He also worked as a social studies teacher at the high school for 33 years.

He was predeceased in death by his loving wife Catherine (DeMaria) of 56 Years.

Scotto is survived by his children; Michael Scotto, Marianna Scotto, Frank and Terry Scotto, Antonia (Scotto) and Michael Pickney, James and Nancy Scotto, Stefanie (Scotto) and Drew Ross.

In addition, he is survived by his 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was a role model and mentor to many throughout his life especially to his great-grandchildren Taylor and Paulie Mullady, teaching them to their last visit.

Internment will take place at the Smithtown Rural Cemetery.
