Best Places On Long Island To Raise A Family: 2019 Rankings

LONG ISLAND, NY - Niche.com has released its 2019 rankings of the best places to raise a family in states across the country and Long Island absolutely dominated the list.

According to its rankings for New York, Long Island towns make up more than half of the top 100.

A total of seven Long Island towns made the top 10 while 31 towns made the top 50.

Jericho came in first, moving up from the No. 2 spot in 2018. Last year's number one pick, Kensington, came in third for 2019.

The lists were created using information about public schools, crime rates, cost of living and family friendly amenities. Data was pulled from the U.S. Census, FBI, BLS, CDC, and other sources, according to Niche.
