Electric Scoreboard Control Box Nabbed From Kings Park School: PD

A young man stole the box and drove off with a group of people, police say. They are wanted for burglary.

KINGS PARK, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in finding the group who police say stole property from a Kings Park school earlier this year.

Multiple people entered the grounds of William T. Rodgers Middle School, at 97 Old Dock Road, sometime between 11 p.m. Jan. 31 and 12:15 a.m. Feb. 1, police said. One of the men entered the school and stole an electronic scoreboard control box, police said. He got into a dark-colored Honda Pilot with at least five people in the car, which then drove off, police said. The group is wanted for burglary. Police announced the theft on Friday.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
