Fort Salonga Home Gutted By Blaze

FORT SALONGA, NY — A fire gutted a Fort Salonga home Tuesday night and destroyed a car in the driveway. The Kings Park Fire Department, along with help from other departments, took on the Woodfield Avenue blaze starting 8:55 p.m.

Two firefighters were injured, ABC 7 reported; one suffered a broken leg and another was treated for burns.

The Suffolk County Arson Squad said the cause of the fire is non-criminal.
