The National Weather Service has expanded a snow squall warning to all of Long Island. It's in effect until 5:30 p.m.

The squall could cause whiteout conditions with zero visibility in heavy, blowing snow. Wind gusts up to 40 mph are possible. Traveling through a squall can be "dangerous" and "life-threatening."

Consider avoiding or delaying travel until the snow squall passes your location. If you must travel, use extra caution and allow extra time. Rapid changes in visibility and slick road conditions may lead to accidents. A quick half-inch to an inch of snow accumulation is possible.
