How Much do You Spend on Back-to-School?

Much as we hate to break the news, it's time to start thinking about back-to-school shopping if you want to be ready for the first day. So while you're still laying poolside and tooling around the waters on your boat, stores are stocking up on notebooks, pencils and folders. All the essentials to kick off the school year right.

We know. We know. We hear the complaints:

"It's too early to think about school."

"School? It's 90 degrees."

"I'm not ready to give up my firefly catcher and pool noodles yet!"

But alas, the local stationary stores have other ideas and they are ready to yank you right out of the dog days of summer and yank some of the green stuff from your wallet while they're at it. (Caution: Talking about too early, we have even come across Halloween decorations.)

So we want to know. What's your favorite place/store to shop for back to school items? And help us budget. How much do you typically spend on back-to-school?
