Kings Park Locals: Rolling Stone Crossed the Line
Several stores are refusing to carry the latest issue featuring bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

The cover of the latest Rolling Stone features Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. It's not a grainy image from a surveillance camera or a mug shot but it shows a hip-looking young man, his mussy hair and goatee making him seem more like one of the rock stars the music magazine frequently covers rather than possibly the most hated man in the United States right now. A suspected terrorist. The cover photo supports the investigative piece inside outlining what made the boy turn into a killer.
But since the cover was announced to the public there has been a backlash. Several stores, including Stop & Shop, CVS and Walgreen's, have refused to carry the latest issue of Rolling Stone Magazine because of its decision to put Tsarnaev on the cover.
We posed the question on our Facebook page and asked readers if they agreed with the retailers' decision. Here is what a few of your neighbors are saying:

Irene Davis-Gilbert: It's disgraceful, but the PATCH shouldn't picture it either!!
Sue Wildgen Sotera: The problem is all the attention Rolling Stone has received for it! Negative attention is still attention and that's what they were looking for! Stop talking about and posting about it!

Joan Olofsson Danaher: Rolling Stone should be ashamed...
Jim Milana: Yes 110% why sensationalize this Animal !!! Everyone should boycott it!
Danny Boy Cool: It's classically a music industry magazine. Bringing current events of the nation into it, gets the magazine off topic and weakens it's message!
Bradford Tiernan: I dont like Rolling Stone, but it has had Current Events/Political stories in it right from the beginning. It has covered politics and popular culture, music being their biggest feature. Hunter S. Thompson wrote many politcal stories back in the 1970s. Joe Klein, Joe Eszterhas, and P. J. O'Rourke have written hundreds of poltical articles for the last 40 years. They are trying to get attention because of their dwindling subscriptions.
Susan Boccia: Why give this pathetic savage ANY air time at all???
Jess Cozza: Its like putting Osama on the cover. Blow to the face for americans.
Lisa Marie: Very inappropriate to put this person on the cover after the horrible destruction and deaths that resulted in Boston!!! Shame on Rolling Stone
Jason Fried: Yes I agree. I don't take many stances but....c'mon
Diane Benjes: disagree. freedom of the press, a terrible trgedy but it's def relevent news, i was more disgusted when o.j. simpson was all over the place, but it was newsworthy. censorship is unacceptable.
