Local Family Needs Your Vote for Son to Win Adaptive Bicycle

Help Patrick Brown, who has autism, win an adaptive bicycle so that he can finally ride a bicycle with his family this spring!

Local family needs your help! Patrick Brown and his family live in Kings Park. His parents are lifelong residents and have chosen raise their three boys in the community they love. The Browns recently entered Patrick in The Great Bike Giveaway, in the hopes of winning Patrick a Buddy Bike. A Buddy Bike is a special tandem-type bicycle made so that children with special needs can safely ride a bicycle with adult support.

Patrick, 7, was diagnosed with autism at 18 months and is delayed in every area of development. He has recently shown interest in riding a bike but due to his low muscle tone and motor planning difficulties, he is unable to pedal and steer a bicycle on his own. A buddy bike would allow him to experience riding a bicycle with his family. Patrick also has no awareness of danger and could not safely ride a bicycle independently. The buddy bike would allow his parents control over the bike so that they could keep him safe, while sharing with him the joy of riding a bike! Please help win the buddy bike for Patrick!

It is truly just one click to enter, and you can only enter once per email or Facebook account. Please help this little guy win a bike, so that this spring his family can ride bikes together for the first time.
