Police Seeking Man Who Put Skimmer On Levittown ATM

A man was spotted at a 7-Eleven on Hempstead Turnpike placing an a scimming device on an ATM. These devices capture a credit or debit card’s electronic data while a built-in camera captures the user entering their PIN number. Glen Cove 350th Anniversary Logo Winner Announced

Alex Papas, an employee of Glen Cove Printery, was announced as the winner of the city's 350th Anniversary logo design competition. The design will be featured on stickers, banners, events, signs and more for the next two years.

35 Long Island Schools Named Among the Best in State

Niche.com released their list of the top 100 public school in the state using several factors including SAT/ACT scores, student-teacher ratio, the quality of colleges students consider. Making the list was all three Bellmore-Merrick High Schools: Wellington C. Mepham, John F. Kennedy and Sanford H. Calhoun high schools. Furthermore, four Long Island high schools made the top 10 while 35 made the top 100.

Nassau Man Indicted On Charges Of Beating Dog With Shovel

On Tuesday a Levittown man was charged for beating his dog with a shovel to the point where the animal needed to be euthanized. Among the man's charges are cruelty to animals, torturing and injuring animals and failure to provide proper sustenance. The man pleaded not guilty and is due back in court on March 21. He faces a maximum of two years in jail if convicted.

Long Beach Boardwalk To Stay Dry

The Long Beach City Council has voted 4-1 against a measure that would have allowed boardwalk concession stands to sell alcohol. If the measure has succeeded, businesses would apply for state liquor licenses, and then have their leases with the city amended to allow alcohol sales. Alcohol would have still be banned on the beach.
