Man Barricades Self In Nearby Home After Domestic Incident
Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone says police are negotiating the man's surrender after he broke into a neighbor's home.

KINGS PARK, NY — Police were at a Kings Park home Sunday afternoon after a man broke into a neighbor's home and barricaded himself in a room following a domestic incident.
At his daily coronavirus briefing Sunday, Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone said there was a domestic incident in Kings Park and a man ran from the incident on foot, breaking into a nearby resident's home. Police escorted a senior living in the home to safety. Officers were still at her home negotiating the man's surrender, Bellone said.
Suffolk County police confirmed the information to Patch and said a woman involved in the domestic incident was taken to a hospital for treatment for injuries that are not considered to be life threatening. A CODE Red alert was issued ordering neighbors to stay in their homes out of an abundance of caution, police said.
