Man Wanted For Abandoning Cat In Woods: SPCA

The Suffolk County SPCA is offering a $2,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the man responsible.

KINGS PARK, NY - The Suffolk County SPCA is offering a $2,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of a man who abandoned a cat in Kings Park earlier this month.

On May 1, the man (pictured below) was caught on surveillance video walking into the wooded area of the bluffs located at the end of Old Dock Road in the upper parking lot at around 11:07 a.m.

He was seen carrying a purple carrier into the woods where he released a tabby/white adult cat.

Officials say they are making attempts to trap the cat.
