Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Kings Park Crash
The motorcyclist tried to pass a Toyota making a turn, but the vehicles collided, police say.
KINGS PARK, NY - A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car in Kings Park on Sunday afternoon, Suffolk police said.
Florent Syla, 26, of Bellmore, was riding a 2018 Yamaha eastbound on Route 25A when he tried to pass a 2011 Toyota that was attempting to make a left turn onto Patiky Street and collided around 4:45 p.m., police said.
Syla is being treated for serious physical injuries at Stony Brook University Hospital, police said. Neither the driver of the Toyota, who is an 89-year-old South Setauket man, or the passenger in his vehicle, were injured, police said.

Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
