KINGS PARK, NY — Heading to a local pumpkin patch this fall may look a little different due to coronavirus, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still have a great time with family and friends.
Thankfully, coronavirus has only changed — not completely closed — your favorite pumpkin patch and its offerings this season. Below is a list of some of our favorite pumpkin patches near Kings Park.
Name: BB & GG Farm and Nursery
Address: 625 Route 25A, St. James
Season opening/closing dates: Sept. 26 through Oct. 31
Attractions: Pick-your-own pumpkins, hay rides, roasted corn and more.
Hours: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Name: Albert H. Schmitt Family Farm
Address: 6 Bagatelle Road, Dix Hills
Season opening/closing dates: Late September through Oct. 31
Attractions: Pumpkin picking field, hay, cornstalks, hayrides, fall flowers, animal train ride, duck races, apple cider donuts, roasted corn, apple cider, homemade candy apples and fresh-baked pie.
Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day
Pricing: No parking or entrance fee; $5 per person admittance for pumpkin patch with duck races

Name: Schmitt's Family Farm
Address: 26 Pinelawn Road, Melville.
Season opening/closing dates: Now through Oct. 31.
Attractions: Guests can enjoy hayrides, farm animals, pony rides and a daytime corn maze, this year's themed "Arabian Nights," and a Haunted Mansion Walk Through on Saturdays, Sundays, and Columbus Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Pumpkin picking daily.
Hours: Weekdays from noon to 4:30 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Attractions: Entertainment and games. The farm also features shows, pony rides, hayrides, and The White Post Animal Farm.
Hours: Admission gates are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays; 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekends
Pricing: $19.95 plus tax for weekdays; $29.95 plus tax for Fall Fun Weekends
