Smithtown Woman Seriously Hurt After Car Hits Tree
Crash occurred early Thursday on Landing Avenue, police say.

A 22-year-old Smithtown woman was seriously injured in an early Thursday morning crash on Landing Avenue, police said.
According to police, Cynthia Prag was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu north on Landing Avenue, near Cakewalk Terrace, in Smithtown when her car left the roadway and struck a tree at about 2:25 a.m., police said.
Prag was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, police said.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
