Where Are Long Island's Best High Schools? 2015 Rankings Revealed
A recent report compares high schools across the nation.

U.S. News and World Report has released its 2015 rankings of the best high schools in the nation.
Of the top-50 high schools in New York, 11 of them are on Long Island, according to the rankings. In the 2014 rankings, 14 Long Island schools were in the top-50.
U.S. News says its rankings are based on these key principles: that a great high school must serve all of its students well, not just those who are college bound, and that it must be able to produce measurable academic outcomes to show it is successfully educating its student body across a range of performance indicators.
Garden City High School is the top ranked Long Island school (12th in the state and 90th in the nation) this year after leapfrogging Great Neck South, Manhasset Secondary and Jericho from last year’s rankings.
