CT Man Accused Of Driving Drunk In Mamaroneck

Police said his blood-alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit.

MAMARONECK, NY — A Connecticut man was accused of driving drunk on the interstate in the town of Mamaroneck. New York State Police stopped a car on I-95 around 9:50 p.m. Tuesday for several vehicle and traffic violations.

An investigation found that the driver, Miguel T. Guzman-Barzallo, 36, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, was intoxicated.

He was taken into custody and processed at the New Rochelle barracks where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.19 percent, according to authorities.

Guzman-Barzallo was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and multiple vehicle and traffic violations, police said.

He was released to a sober third party with appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Mamaroneck Court Aug. 24.
