Food Donations Collected for Hope Community Services

The Woman's Club of Larchmont, Inc. organizes a food drive

When The Woman’s Club of Larchmont, Inc. was informed that HOPE Community Services in New Rochelle had an increase of food distribution from 300 meals a week to 3,000, the Club’s Philanthropy Committee acted quickly to organize a food drive. On June 5, and again on June 8, 2020, 36 Club members responded generously by donating over 300 items. From 34 pounds of pasta, to 202 cans of soup, tuna, and fruit, along with cake and muffins mixes, cereals, boxes of mac & cheese and toilet paper, all these items filled the bags. When the delivery was made Ann Sheridan, co-chair of the Philanthropy Committee said, “The people at Hope were overwhelmed with thanks.”
