Hudson Valley AMBER Alert For Baby Kidnapped In Harlem: PD
Hudson Valley residents are asked to be on the lookout for a man who abducted a 9-month-old girl from New York City, authorities said.

UPDATE: The AMBER Alert has been canceled. The baby was returned by an unknown person to the East Harlem fire precinct late Monday night. Authorities say the baby was unharmed and examined at an area hospital. Antonio Armstrong, the father is still missing. Police say Armstrong assaulted the baby's mother before abducting the child.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — An AMBER Alert was issued across the Hudson Valley Monday after authorities said a baby was abducted from Harlem.

New York State Police believe Mi Angel Gaines was taken by 22-year-old Antonio Armstrong around 2:50 a.m. Monday in front of 2433 Frederick Douglass Boulevard, near 131st Street. It was not clear if or how the child and Armstrong are related.
Police believe the baby is in "imminent danger of serious harm or death" and asked Hudson Valley residents to be on the lookout for Armstrong.

Mi Angel is described as Black, with long, black hair and brown eyes. She is 19 pounds and and was last seen wearing a red, white and blue onesie.
Armstrong is described as Black and roughly 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and 200 pounds. He has a tattoo of a microphone on his neck.
Authorities sent the Amber Alert just after 12:30 p.m. Monday. The AMBER alert went out across the Hudson Valley and the wider tri-state area.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the NYPD's 32nd Precinct at 212-690-6315, or dial 911 to report a possible sighting.
