Jane's Walk Will Explore Mamaroneck's Murals With Experts
Mamaroneck's murals are a treasured village asset, but how much do you really know about the history and themes of the public works of art?

MAMARONECK, NY — After taking part in the Jane’s Walk guided tour of Mamaroneck’s mural art, participants will have plenty of anecdotes about the historic works to share with friends and family for years to come.
Jane’s Walk is an annual festival of free, community, walking conversations inspired by writer Jane Jacobs. Since its inception in 2006, Jane’s Walk festivals have taken place in hundreds of cities and towns around the globe. The idea is for Jane’s Walks to encourage people to share stories about their neighborhoods, discover hidden secrets of their towns and to connect with their communities by walking and talking.
By its nature, the metropolis provides what otherwise could be given only by traveling; namely, the strange. ― Jane Jacobs
