Larchmont Among Best Places To Raise A Family: 2021 Niche Ranking

LARCHMONT, NY — Larchmont is one of the best places in the United States to raise a family, according to Niche.com's 2021 survey.

The rankings were based on public schools, crime rates, cost of living and family-friendly amenities. Data from the U.S. Census, FBI, Bureau of Labor Statistics and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention were also factored in.

Here's what Niche had to say about Larchmont, which received an overall grade of A+:

Larchmont is a suburb of New York City with a population of 6,096. Larchmont is in Westchester County and is one of the best places to live in New York. Living in Larchmont offers residents an urban suburban mix feel and most residents own their homes. In Larchmont there are a lot of restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. Many families live in Larchmont and residents tend to be liberal. The public schools in Larchmont are highly rated.

In this year's rankings, one Hudson Valley community was listed among the top 100 places for families across the United States: Chappaqua, clocking in at No. 87 nationally.
