Larchmont Traffic Island Draws Residents' Concerns

Residents in Larchmont have expressed safety concerns over a traffic island in the village, according to The Journal News.

LARCHMONT, NY - Residents in Larchmont are voicing safety concerns over a traffic island close to the downtown area, according to The Journal News.

Among the concerns voiced are ones pertaining to speeding and lack of enough signage in proximity to Turtle Park, The Journal News reported.

The traffic island is in the middle of Palmer Avenue, Vanderburgh Avenue and Hall Avenue, the paper added.

Residents spoke up about the matter earlier this month at a meeting of the Larchmont Traffic Commission, the paper said, adding that they called for adding crosswalks, speed bumps and stop signs.
