Luxury, Eco-Friendly Grand Street Lofts Opens In Mamaroneck
It's a sustainable rental community with easy access to mass transit, recreation, dining and shopping.

MAMARONECK, NY — Grand Street Lofts, a new, 21-unit luxury rental community, has celebrated its grand opening. It's the first new project in the village of Mamaroneck’s Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Zone, which was established to serve as an attractively revitalized gateway to the village’s vibrant downtown.
It's also a significant step for MAXX Properties, a fourth generation, family-owned real estate company. Grand Street Lofts is the company’s first “ground-up” development, added to a real estate portfolio consisting of 8,790 owned multifamily units in six states and 2,800 cooperative units in New York.
And it’s a model that MAXX Properties wants to replicate elsewhere in Westchester and elsewhere.

That model is “designed to meet the lifestyle needs of today’s renters who are looking for modern and sustainable rental communities that are within easy access of mass transit, recreation, dining and shopping,” said Andrew Wiener, Executive Director. “We believe this development approach can be adopted elsewhere in this market, and we are exploring opportunities.”
The $10 million project was a joint venture undertaken by MAXX Properties and Comstock Residential, the developer which had acquired the rights to the property.

"We are excited to be a part of Mamaroneck Village’s commitment to revitalizing the
new TOD zone,” said Eric Abraham, Managing Member of Comstock Residential. “We believe Grand Street Lofts will provide one of the finest living experiences in the market and we are pleased to have partnered with MAXX Properties on this venture.”
Abraham further noted that Grand Street Lofts is a commuter’s dream, just steps away from the Mamaroneck Metro North Station, with easy access to New York City or New England. With dozens of restaurants, bars, and shops, Mamaroneck is one of the most vibrant downtowns in Westchester County. Mamaroneck’s future development includes bike lanes and greenways connecting Larchmont and Mamaroneck.
Living spaces are designed with the modern renter in mind. The brand new Mamaroneck apartments at Grand Street Lofts include a mix of one- and two-bedroom units ranging in size from 770 to 1,170 square feet. Each open floor plan apartment interior features high ceilings, nine-foot windows, and entertainment-ready spaces.
Kitchens are equipped with quartz countertops, designer cabinetry, and ENERGY STAR® water-saving appliances. Each unit has a full-size washer and dryer.
The sustainable, luxury community is equipped with the latest green-building technology including a green roof with solar energy generation and non-fossil fuel heating. WIFI programmable thermostats, water-saving fixtures, smart home locks, and LED lighting are available throughout.
Community amenities include an exercise studio, bicycle storage, covered off-street parking, and a rooftop relaxation deck with lounge seating and fire pit. Grand Street Lofts also boasts a newly open restaurant space occupied by Maple & Rose, the renowned catering service. The community-centered café will provide dining in a casual and relaxed setting for residents and visitors to the area.
