M & M Performing Arts Company Performs BOTANIC GARDEN

M&M Theater presents BOTANIC GARDEN, a play by Todd Logan, directed by Melinda O’Brien and starring Karen Quinn-Panzer and Frank Panzer.

BOTANIC GARDEN is presented free on Sunday, May 5, at 4:00pm, at the Larchmont Public Library. Refreshments available at 3:30pm. Sponsored by the Friends of the Larchmont Public Library.

ABOUT BOTANIC GARDEN:

Botanic Garden is a funny, poignant drama about a widow - Kate Goodman - who is desperate to get out of a first date. She turns to the one person who can help: her deceased husband, Jake. The play is an inventively constructed portrait of an imperfect marriage between people who always loved each other, even when they didn't get along. Scenes shift between the present and scenes from their marriage - scenes that will ring familiar to anyone married a long time. It is a fresh, engaging portrait of the intricacies of a long-term relationship. Unique and heartwarming, this play will charm the audience as it touches them, identifying with the story about the trials and joys of long-term relationships, loss and renewal. Botanic Garden premiered in 2008 at the Victory Garden Theater and was directed by Academy Award winner Olympia Dukakis.

M&M is the resident theatre company of Lyndhurst, a site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Lyndhurst is a Gothic Revival masterpiece on the banks of the Hudson River in Tarrytown, NY. In New York City, M&M produced four shows in The New York International Fringe Festival: a co-production of a dance-performance piece by Virgin Dance, Salt Lake, the Ballet that was featured in The New York Times, and three plays Dream Lover, Hello I Must Be Going and Back to the Garden. M&M is proud to be a member of Theatre Resources Unlimited and produced plays for two of their Annual TRU Voices Play Reading Series.
