Mamaroneck Reminds Students May Need To Quarantine After Vacation
New York lists states where there are significant degrees of community-wide spread of the new coronavirus on its website.
MAMARONECK, NY — Families in the Mamaroneck school district returning from vacation are being reminded that students who are coming back from states where there is a significant degree of community-wide spread of the new coronavirus are expected to quarantine for 14 days upon returning to New York.
School officials said, due to the complexities around the group/pod placement process, we will not be able to accommodate a child in a fully remote learning group during their quarantine time period if the child is registered for the hybrid learning plan.

- Family preference for hybrid learning model of fully remote learning
- Honoring a.m or p.m. preference whenever possible and providing same schedule for siblings, unless requested otherwise
- Considering groups of students balanced by gender and number of students receiving special eduction services and ENL services, as well as overall group dynamics
As a a result, officials said it was critical to keep the groups intact, and making even one adjustment has a domino-like impact.
