  • Business: Westchester Hubz
  • Owners: Dominick Crea
  • Website: Westchesterhubz.com
  • Address: 606 Halstead Avenue Mamaroneck NY 10543

How did you come up with the name? National company is Nubhubz Inc. However being a resident of Westchester I am launching in Westchester County. The Westchester Hubz will launch first. Nubhubz came from the tag line “Your neighborhood Hub!” neighborhood and Hub birthed NubHubz

Why start a business in this town? I own a building in Mamaroneck where my other business has a satellite location and wanted to make sure Westchester Hubz was headquartered appropriately

What business are you in? Online directory for all residents to simply find out what is located in their neighborhood without going to several sources and having to do searches

What’s the most difficult challenge you’ve faced as a business owner? Launching a Business is always a challenge. I launched my first business when I was 21 back in 1999 and recently merged after growing it successfully to a nationwide operation. I decided at 37 to give it another go and fill a void that I saw was open.

What’s been your proudest achievement since opening? Since I am still in the pre-launch phase I am excited to see the business take shape and watch how establishments are signing on and it is growing pre-launch. Social media is playing a large part which is a dramatic change from how my first business was able to grow. I have also implemented some out of the box marketing such as flying banners over town, hanging a banner at the county center, wrapping vehicles, etc.

How does your business give back to the community? It is creating once central hub to allow users to go to one spot to find everything and anything located within their own town, village, hamlet, city. An app will be available in the future allowing mobile users the ability to search based on their gps position. It is user friendly, simple and effective.
