Mamaroneck Social Work Department Holding Holiday Drive
The department wants to provide gift cards and new hats, gloves, scarves and socks to area families in need.

MAMARONECK, NY — The Mamaroneck Schools Social Work Department is asking for help providing gift cards and new hats, gloves, scarves and socks to area families who are in need.
"2020 has been an unpredictable and challenging year," an email from the department said. "This year more than ever, we hope to join together to once again spread the holiday cheer for our Larchmont/Mamaroneck families."
People can donate a gift card — in increments of $25 each — and/or the news hats, gloves, scarves and socks.

The Social Work Department is collaborating with community agencies and faith-based organizations to coordinate efforts, avoid duplication and bring holiday cheer to as many families as possible.
Gift cards can be purchased from a local merchant of your choice.

Gift cards and winter items can be dropped off anytime from now until Friday, Dec. 4.
Place gift cards in a sealed envelope with the name of the building social worker. The envelope may be left with the building greeter.

Winter items can be dropped off at clearly marked bins located at the main entrances of each building.
