New Haven Man Accused Of Driving Drunk With Kids In Car In Rye

The 25-year-old Connecticut man was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child in the Vehicle.

RYE, NY — A New Haven, Connecticut, man was arrested Sunday in Rye on suspicion of driving drunk with children in his vehicle, New York State Police said in a release Tuesday.

Police said officers responded around 5:10 p.m. on Sunday to a report of a single-car accident on I-95 in Rye. When they arrived, police identified the driver as Bryan Salbador, 25, of New Haven.

Police said Salbador was found to be driving while intoxicated with two kids — a 5-year-old and an 11-month-old — in the car.

Police said Salbador was taken to SP New Rochelle, where police determined he had a blood alcohol level of 0.18 percent.

Salbador was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child in the Vehicle and released to a sober driver. He is set to return to City of Rye Court on May 29.
