New Rochelle Man Accused Of Driving Drunk On I-95
Police said he was more than twice over the legal limit for alcohol.
MAMARONECK, NY — A New Rochelle man was accused of being drunk while driving on the interstate in the village of Mamaroneck. The New York State Police said Gerardi Garcia-Garcia, 42, of New Rochelle, was driving on I-95 around 9:40 p.m. Friday when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation.
Police said Garcia-Garcia was found to be intoxicated.
He was taken into custody and processed at the New Rochelle barracks, where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.19 percent.

Garcia-Garcia was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and was turned over to a sober third party.
He was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Village of Mamaroneck Court Sept. 10.
