PACE Program At Mamaroneck HS Raises (Virtual) Curtain On Season
The Spring/Summer season is a go for students of the PACE Program at Mamaroneck HS, but the performances are still best enjoyed virtually.
Larchmont-Mamaroneck, NY— Broadway has been dark for nearly one year, so students of the Performing Arts Curriculum Experience (PACE) at Mamaroneck High School might consider themselves lucky to be able to take the stage at all, but once again, for upcoming Spring and Fall performances, the audience members will be watching from home.
One of the sure signs that things aren't yet entirely back to normal at the one-of-a-kind arts program is the fact that the group is selling a high-quality, reusable facemask with the PACE logo as an online fundraiser. More telling, perhaps, is that the general public will not be able to attend performances scheduled for this Spring and Summer. But alas, the show must go on.
The season kicks off with the crowd favorite Senior Dance Night at 7pm on May 20th. The event is described as an evening of student choreographed and performed dance pieces by the PACE 4 Dance class. Senior Music Night - an evening of student composed and arranged music pieces - takes place the following evening at 7pm. The three-night event concludes with Senior New Plays - original works by PACE student playwrights- on Saturday May 22nd.
