Port Chester Man Accused Of Marijuana Possession

Police said he was stopped on the Thruway for a traffic violation.

MAMARONECK, NY — A traffic stop on Interstate 95 in the village of Mamaroneck led to an accusation of marijuana possession for a Port Chester man.

The New York State Police said Trevor S. Chambless, 25, of Port Chester, was stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation.

During the interview with him, troopers established probable cause to search his car.

Chambless was found to be in possession of about 8.04 ounces of marijuana.

He was taken into custody and charged with third-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony.

Chambless was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Village of Mamaroneck Court Jan. 7.
